Chartered in 1919, PFSP is the oldest AFT local this side of the Mississippi River.

PFSP represents a wide range of classified workers at Portland Public Schools, including, but not limited to, paraeducators, educational assistants, administrative assistants, site technology specialists, clerks, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and campus security.

PFSP proposes to add the following classifications

Executive Board

PFSP's elected Board Members meet monthly to manage the operations of our Union.


Site Representatives

Site Representatives are volunteer member-leaders who represent PFSP staff at their work site, organize new members, monitor working conditions and contract abuses, and educate and mobilize members around important issues.


Staff Members

PFSP has one full-time employee, the President, and two part-time employees, the Field Representatives. They are available as a resource to all.
